Old Age Pension Scheme

The scheme aims to help elderly persons meet their basic needs and improve their quality of life. Under this scheme, a monthly pension is provided to senior citizens (both husband and wife) in the state who are 60 years of age or above.

Benefits

A pension of ₹1,500/- per month is provided to eligible beneficiaries.

Eligibility

(i) The age of the applicant should be 60 years or more.
(ii) The monthly income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 4000/- from all sources or the applicant should be a BPL card holder.
(iii) The applicant should have been selected in an open meeting of the Gram Sabha.

Application Process

Applicants can apply online through the Department’s pension portal (https://ssp.uk.gov.in), the Umang mobile app, or the Apni Sarkar portal (https://eservices.uk.gov.in).

Documents Required

(i) Family register issued by VPDO(Village Panchayat Development Officer) for applicants from rural areas or ration card for applicants from urban areas.
(ii) Income certificate of Rs. 4000/- per month from all sources issued online or BPL card.
(iii) The proposal selected in the open meeting of Gram Panchayat/Councillor.
(iv) Certified photo of the applicant (from Pradhan/VPDO/Sabhasad/Councillor).
(v) CBS bank account passbook.
(vi) Aadhaar card.
